To create the Backdrop:
Begin by finding some cheerful holiday wrapping paper and taping a large piece to your wall. We used a peppermint striped paper to color coordinate with our play date theme. This is super inexpensive way to add some color and dimension to your tablescape!
Then, print out our free Cookie Decorating Printable and and hang it in the center of the paper. We put ours in a light weight, decorative frame for a finished look.

To create the Table:
Take the DIY Wood Trays and paint them red. We used red spray paint for a quick and cheery look.

Fill the Chalkboard Candy Jars with some of your favorite candies or cookie toppings. My boys just adore peppermint and gumballs, so they were a must have for this table! They enjoyed both while decorating their cookies! You can then use chalk or a chalk marker to label each of the jars.

It’s now time to fill those paint palettes with as many festive holiday sprinkles and candies you can find! We filled the center of the palette with yummy, homemade icing and had plain holiday shaped cookies ready to be decorated!

Time for treats! Along with all the delicious toppings, you always need a few ready-to-eat sweets on the table! We had the cutest reindeer and peppermint swirl chocolate covered Oreo’s and some white chocolate dipped marshmallow pops on Red Polka Dot Paper Straws for the boys to indulge in as they decorated!

Cheery Cocoa! We placed some hot delicious hot cocoa in Cheery Christmas Cups and topped them with fresh whipped cream and a Red Candy Stick.

Lastly, we hung the Very Merry Christmas Tassel Garland across the front of the table for a pop of color!
This DIY Cookie Toppings Bar was a cute and simple way to have the kids decorate their own cookies. Everyone had a blast decorating and enjoying the yummy treats!
