Using a pencil, trace out your design onto a Large Basswood Plank. For our sign, we wrote, "Hey, Y'all", but you can use any phrase you like that would be best for your own party!

Using your hot glue gun, carefully draw a bead of glue onto the traced lettering, working in small sections of about two to three inches at a time so that the glue doesn't set before you can complete the next step.

Press in Natural Cord to cover the glue line, creating a "rope" script effect on your sign.

Continue adding glue in small sections, and repeat step 3 until all of your lettering has been covered. Trim any loose ends with scissors and secure with a dot of glue to prevent fraying. Add a fun Sheriff's Deputy Badge as a clever embellishment.
