Choose four of the white DIY Canvas Banners and paint each one a different color of acrylic paint to represent each of the houses of Hogwarts. Gryffindor is red, Hufflepuff is yellow, Ravenclaw is blue and Slytherin green.
While the banners are drying, print out the house letters template. Download the Free Bunting Printable here. Trace the letters onto colored felt that corresponds to each house. The G for Gryffindor will be cut on yellow felt; the H for Hufflepuff will be on black felt; R for Ravenclaw on grey felt; and the S for Slytherin on grey felt. I turned my letters over and traced around them backwards so that when I flipped them over they would be clean and not have any black lines from the marker showing.
Carefully cut each letter, and then adhere them to their corresponding pieces of bunting using hot glue.
Cut a 1-inch slit in both the upper left and right corners of each piece of bunting. This is how you will string them onto the ribbon.
Remove five stars from the gold glitter star garland. I chose to alternate the sizes of the stars, starting with the smaller size, but you could use all the same size if you chose. Next, turn the bunting over and weave the gold glitter ribbon through the backsides of the bunting, alternating with a star in between each piece of bunting.
Finally, hang your bunting in a prominent spot during your Harry Potter party for all to admire!
