Paint the front of the DIY slat sign with white acrylic craft paint and a foam brush. Let dry.

Use letter stencils and a pencil to trace "Happy St. Patrick's Day" on the center of the sign. I always like to use a pencil first to make any spacing adjustments necessary before stenciling with paint! In place of stencils, you could use letter stickers to create the words or freehand draw them with a paint pen.

Hold a letter stencil in place over the pencil outline and stencil with acrylic craft paint and a foam brush. Add just a small amount of paint to your brush at a time and use an up and down dabbing motion to stencil. Wait until each letter is dry to the touch before moving onto the next letter to prevent any smudging. I used a light green and dark green shade of paint for my stenciling.

Add two DIY wood horseshoes by first painting them with gold craft paint and adhering them to the bottom right part of the sign with hot glue.

Decorate the rest of the sign with glitter shamrock tattoos (they work just like stickers!).

Display your new sign on a shelf or hang on the wall. Check out how I incorporated my sign into my luck-filled St. Patrick's Day Mantle and my other diys: St. Patrick's Washi Tape Serving Tray , and Modern Shamrock Wreaths
