The kits came individually wrapped which makes things a lot easier when organizing activities for children. I let them each choose what color construction paper they wanted then they all sat around a table.

Instead of just letting them peel and stick in any order, I wanted to make the activity informative. I asked them first what a cornucopia was. Not surprisingly, none of them knew. I explained in simple terms that a cornucopia is a type of basket shaped like a horn filled with foods and symbols of fall and the harvest.

I asked them all to peel off their cornucopia sticker first, then place it on their construction paper. From there, we talked about what types of foods we wanted to put in our cornucopias: corn, pears, pumpkins, squash, apples, and other symbols of fall like leaves and nuts. They were excited when we talked about different colors of fall like orange, yellow, brown and green. It was a simple activity, but when we were done, I quizzed them on what we had just discussed and they retained it really well.
