There is a string already attached to the Vinyl Hanging Bats, which is handy if you are hanging them from the ceiling. However, because we are hanging ours on the door/wall, you want to cut off the string.

Depending on the material of the outside of your home, use painters tape or glue dots to fasten the bats to your door and surrounding area. Painters tape is a good choice because it will not take off or destroy the paint or material of your home. However, I would recommend glue dots on the portions that don't want to cooperate.

Start on bottom left side of your door and tape your first bat.

Add another bat working in a diagonal line.

Continue on in this pattern, spacing and overlapping your bats as desired.

Complete your pattern, using a ladder or step stool as needed. Make sure you stand back away from your work space to see if any adjustments are needed.
Set your bats among other Cutesy Halloween Front Porch Ideas, including our DIY Hanging Witch Umbrellas, and be the house every trick-or-treater adores!
