You can attach two 3-foot mailing tubes together with tape, or, if you want to upcycle, visit your local fabric store and ask if they have any tubes to give away. (A lot of fabric is rolled onto long, sturdy cardboard tubes that are perfect for this contraption!) Now, paint your tube—we chose a holiday appropriate orange paint. Let dry completely.
Use a glue stick to attach the Spider Web Shaped Doilies to the tube. Just put a dab of glue on the points of the web, and gently wrap the doily around the tube; hold until it's adhered.
Cut the ring parts off of about 20 Glow-in-the-Dark Spider Rings.
Hot-glue the spiders on and around the webs on the tube.
Using a sharp object, like the point of scissors, poke two holes in one end of the tube, about an inch apart. Thread a zip tie through that will be long enough to secure around your banister. Repeat on the other end.
Attach the tube to the outdoor banister and you are ready for trick-or-treaters! Don't forget the candy for your little goblins.
