Use a white spray paint primer to paint the plastic jars. It is best to have an adult prime the jars. Once the primer paint has dried, paint 2-3 coats of black acrylic paint over the primer. Attach the bat's googly eyes with two glue dots. Cut two small triangles from the white self adhesive foam and stick onto the bat's face for fangs. Trace two "M" shaped bat wings onto black construction paper for the wings. Attach the wings with glue dots.

Cut 5-6 strips of black crepe paper streamers. Use glue dots to attach the crepe paper strips to the inside of the plastic jar. With a sharp piercing tool, poke one hole on each side of the plastic jar. Attach the chenille stem by inserting the stem into each hole to create the handle. Hang your Halloween bat windsock!
