Start by gluing two craft sticks together. Wrap with yarn in a crisscross pattern a few times around the sticks to hold the yarn in place.

To create the God's Eye pattern, start by wrapping the yarn underneath one of the craft sticks and then wrapping it across diagonally to the next craft stick. Repeat the process by pulling it under that craft stick, and then pulling it diagonally over to the next craft stick. Continue this process until you have covered as much of the craft sticks as you want. A diamond shape will start to form!

To add a new color of yarn, just trim your first color and tie a double knot with the new color. Continue wrapping around the craft sticks in the same manner. You can position the knot so that it is hidden on the backside of the God's Eye.

Keep wrapping and adding more colors as you like. You can also make giant God's Eyes by slightly overlapping two craft sticks lengthwise and gluing them together to make them twice as long. Repeat with another set of two craft sticks, and then glue them together to form a cross.

To finish your God's Eye, trim the yarn and tie a knot around the craft stick, or glue the end of the yarn to the back of a craft stick to hold in place. You can make a yarn loop to hang the God's Eyes if you want!

To add another pop of color, we glued pom-poms on the ends of our craft sticks. The options to mix up the colors and patterns on your God's Eyes are endless!
