Lay the craft paper on a table. Put out tissue paper, paint, glue and glue brushes and invite your child to glue the tissue paper under and over the tissue paper, along with the paint. Sort of anything goes for this collage process. You can sit down with your whole family and do it together. It’s a good idea for older kids or adults to go over the tissue paper with glue too, so it really lays down flat.

Add some glitter on top of the glue and paint to make your paper extra sparkly. I keep my fine glitter in salt and pepper shakers so it minimizes the mess drastically.

Once the paper is dried completely, turn it over and trace the leaf shapes on the back. You or your child can cut them out one by one. If you have a little one, then this part would be for the adults.

Once all your leaves are cut out, make two little hole punches in each leaf right next to each other. String the baker’s twine through the holes so the leaves lay flat on the string. Add as many as you like and hang your garland somewhere special.
