Begin by separating the three stars in the DIY wood framed stars set and setting the medium and small stars aside. Fill a paint palette with red, white and blue paint and then paint the largest star royal blue.

Separate 30 small stars from the bag of DIY assorted wood shapes and paint them white.

Next, paint the small and medium wood framed stars white.

Once the white paint has dried on the small and medium stars, use washi tape to add a pattern to each star. I taped off two stripes on the medium star and alternated a triangle and rectangle on every other side of the small star. Be sure to press the washi tape firmly onto the stars to achieve a crisp line when painting.

Next, fill in the taped off sections of both the small and medium stars with red paint. You may need to apply a few coats to achieve a fully opaque appearance. Remove the tape while the paint is still slightly wet, then set the stars aside to fully dry.

Now begin attaching the white star shapes to the large blue framed star using hot glue. I added three small white stars to each flat side of the blue star and staggered the placement slightly to provide depth and visual interest.

Finally, place the three stars in the center of your table during your Patriotic Confetti 4th of July Party to add some star-spangled fun to your table!
