Begin by painting a wood centerpiece box and a wood hoop with black acrylic paint and a paintbrush. You may wish to use two coats. Allow the paint to dry thoroughly before moving on to the next step.

Using hot glue, adhere the connection point of the embroidery hoop to the side of the wood box, as shown. Adhere the opposite side, at the same point as well.

Add hot glue to the interior of the box, to also secure the wood hoop at that point, and allow to dry thoroughly.

Add twists and curls of black ribbon (hold in place with glue dots or hot glue), and two happy little frosted pinecones, to embellish the top of the hoop. The completed centerpiece is ready to fill with the fresh winter blooms of your choice. This look features peonies, burgundy dahlias, pink and white lisianthus, acacia greenery, bleached ruscus and eucalyptus greenery.
