Begin by dry brushing Flamingo Decorations with light pink paint. Simply dip the tip of a paintbrush into pink paint and then tap a bit of the paint off onto a paper towel. Apply the paint to the surface of the wooden flamingos, moving the paint around until the brush is fully dry. You'll want to apply paint to the entire surface without fully covering the flamingo so that some of the darker original paint color shows through. We used a total of two sets of flamingo decorations for our centerpiece.

Next we'll create a graduation cap for the flamingos. Start by cutting a 1" by 1" square out of black cardstock for the top of the cap and a 2 1/2" by 1/2" tall rectangle for the underside of the cap. Use small dabs of hot glue to attach the two pieces together. To create the mini tassel, use a small bit of Gold Baker's Twine and follow the steps found here. Now use a hole punch to punch small circles from gold cardstock and hot glue it to the top of the tassel on the cap to secure the tassel in place.

In place of feathers, we'll add flowers to each flamingo. To give the gold flowers more fullness, remove the petals from a Luau Luxe Gold Flower Garland and hot glue three of the petals together. Next, glue six of the flower clusters to each side of the taller flamingo. Repeat these same steps, using the petals from a Pink Peony Faux Floral Garland, on the two shorter flamingos.

Once the flamingos have been covered in flowers, run a small bead of hot glue around the base of the grad caps you created and adhere them to the tops of the flamingos' heads.

Now it's time to create flower arrangements by turning Coconut Cups with Flowers into vases. Start by removing the flowers from the sides of a few of the cups and inserting part of a Desert Foam Half-Ball Arranger into each of the cups. Snip a palm leaf or two from a Faux Tropical Palm Garland and insert it into the foam towards the back side of the coconut cup. Continue arranging fresh or faux flowers until the coconut cup is full and lush.

Finally, add DIY Mini Ceramic Pineapples, painted pink and green, to complete the centerpiece.

Arrange the Flamingo Decorations in the center of your table and place a coconut cup vase and DIY Small Ceramic Pineapple on either side of the flamingos.
