To make the small pillows, start with a DIY Photo Pillow Cover and use a seam ripper to remove the clear vinyl window.

Use a ruler to mark the middle of the pillow cover. Lightly draw a straight line with a pencil, and then cut along the drawn line.

Fill a craft cup with a small amount of acrylic paint and pounce the Alphabet & Number Sponges into the paint. For our pillow we chose the word ‘HARVEST’ but any fall word will do as long as it fits on the pillow cover. Insert a piece of cardboard the same size as the pillowcase to ensure the paint does not soak through to the other side. Stamp the letters onto the pillow cover and allow time for the paint to dry.

Once the paint is dry, fill the pillow cover with Poly-fil. Fold the top ½" of the pillow cover to the inside of the pillow. This helps hide any raw edges. Add a line of hot glue to the inside edge of the pillow and glue the pillow cover shut.

Adding a few embellishments to your pillow really makes it pop. We added some Light Blue Yarn Poms to the corners of our pillow cover using hot glue for some added fun.

To create the large stenciled pillow, start with a DIY Photo Pillow Cover and use a seam ripper to remove the clear vinyl window. Insert a piece of cardboard the same size as the pillowcase to ensure the paint does not soak through to the other side. Use washi tape to hold the Thanksgiving Décor Stencil in place.

Use a chubby round paintbrush from the Easel Paint Brush Set to pounce acrylic paint onto the stencil. Once the paint is dry, remove the stencil to reveal your harvest design. Fill the pillow with a pillow form or Poly-fil.

Glue Wool Felt Balls around the edges of the pillow using hot glue.

Toss your completed DIY pillows on your couch, window seat or bed to give your fall décor a boost this harvest season. These stylish pillows are perfect to display from September through Thanksgiving!
