Print out the free writing sheets. I've provided two options to help meet the needs of all your learners. Now it's time for your students to practice their inferencing skills by creating their own riddles! Depending on your students' levels, it might be necessary to model prior to allowing students to independently work.
Using scissors, cut apart the Fabulous Foam Eggs using a zig zag pattern.
To add a little "pop" to the writing, glue each writing onto a piece of paper from the Neon Paper Pack. Trim using scissors.
Glue the inferencing riddles to the bottom of a 12" x 18" white construction paper.
Trace the Fabulous Foam Egg onto the white construction paper. This gives students guidelines on where to draw their animal or item.
Fold a piece of 9" x 12" Green Construction Paper. Using scissors, cut strips to create grass. It doesn't matter how thick or thin the grass is cut! Glue the grass onto the white construction paper below the egg.
Attach the Fabulous Foam Eggs using a stapler. Allow students time to add a background. I always ask students to draw items in pencil first and then allow them to trace in Black Sharpie. This makes their drawings to really stand out. Color in using Crayons and Twistable Colored Pencils.
Now it's time for students to become bunny inferencing detectives by wearing a Easter Bunny Mask. Their goal is to figure out what is inside their partner's egg! Can your bunny detectives solve the inferencing riddles?!
