For this project you may either use a pre-made 12" moss wreath or cut a Moss Table Runner into strips and hot glue the strips around a 12" wreath form.

Cut 2-4" off the top of DIY Medium Styrofoam Cones. Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge® onto the Styrofoam cone. TIP: Put the Styrofoam cone onto a wooden dowel to make applying the mod podge nearly mess-free.

Apply cut tissue paper strips or crepe paper streamers onto the Styrofoam cone and apply another layer of Mod Podge® to seal the paper. Allow time for the acrylic sealer to dry.

Carefully cut the Styrofoam Balls in half. Cut small squares from the red tissue paper or use a small 1" circle punch to punch out circles. You can also use streamers!

Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge® onto the Styrofoam ball. TIP: Put the Styrofoam ball onto a wooden dowel to make applying the Mod Podge® nearly mess-free. Apply the cut tissue or crepe paper pieces onto the Styrofoam ball and apply another layer of Mod Podge® to seal the tissue in place. Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge® along the outer bottom edge of the Styrofoam ball. Wrap any dangling tissue/crepe paper around the bottom edge of the ball. Apply another thin layer of Mod Podge® to seal the paper in place.

Use a glue gun to adhere the top of the mushroom to the Styrofoam cone. Use a Dot foam Paintbrush and acrylic paint to paint dots onto the mushroom top. Allow time for the paint to dry. Gather crepe paper streamers around the base of the mushroom to embellish. Use different sized Styrofoam balls to create different sized mushrooms. To make the smallest mushrooms, cut wool pom-poms into a cone shaped base. Glue a red wool pom-pom onto the top of the base and paint dots onto the top of the mushroom.

Once you have made the desired number of mushrooms, glue them all onto the wreath base. Embellish and fill in the wreath with moss.

Glue a jute hanger to the back of the wreath, hang it up, and take some time to enjoy your handiwork! Want more Woodland Gnome Holiday décor ideas? See more here!
