Gather eight Bottle Corks of the same size from the pack (there are two sizes of corks in each pack). We used the large ones. Use a hot glue gun to glue the corks together as shown to create a coaster.

On a protected surface, use a paint brush to apply black acrylic paint to the top and sides of the coaster, being sure to paint inside the crevices. Allow to dry completely.

Use a gold metallic permanent marker and a white chalk marker to create designs on the coaster. Have fun with this part and get creative! Since these coasters were for a Galentine's Day Party, we incorporated hearts, but feel free to create something unique to your celebration.

Cut a length of gold ribbon to fit around the perimeter of the coasters, plus about 1/2 an inch extra. Secure one end of the ribbon to the top of the coaster with hot glue, then continue gluing around all of the edges until you are back where you began. Secure the second end with hot glue and press to secure. That's all there is to it! Sip, sip, hooray!
Be sure to see the entire Galentine's Day Wine Party! You won't want to miss out on step-by-step directions to make a Tassel Heart Garland and a delicious recipe for Mini Chocolate Drip Berry Cakes!
