Lay out some Parchment Paper or a similar product on you work surface. This will help protect your work area from any excess watercolor.
Begin by adding two quarter size dollops of Acrylic Craft Paint to the Large White Bowl. We went with a coral/peach color to match the theme of our wedding tablescape.

Next, add in one quarter size drop of fabric medium. Adding this to your Acrylic Craft Paint will allow the paint to adhere properly to the White Linen Napkins.

Add 1/2 c. water to the paint and fabric medium and mix until combined. If you would prefer a more vibrant color, only add in 1/4 c. water to start. We wanted a more muted, peach hue, so began with 1/2 c.

Tear off the tags of your napkins. Lay the White Linen Napkin flat on top of the Parchment Paper. Take your Paint Brush and dip it into your paint mix and begin painting the napkin from the bottom up. Continue until 2/3 of your napkin is painted.

Add another 1/2 c. of water to the paint mix. This will dilute your color even more and create an ombre effect when adding it to the napkin.

Paint the remaining 1/3 of your napkin in the new, lighter color.

Lay out a few more sheets of Parchment Paper and transfer your painted napkin there to dry. Once the napkin is dry, iron out any creases and then place on your table!

These DIY Watercolor Napkins looked amazing on our Mint and Peach Wedding Tablescape! We love the pop of color they added to the White Ribbed Plates and Wooden Wedding Chargers! We have no doubt this will become a new favorite DIY for our future events!
