First, cut the plastic wrapper off the geometric heart watercolor panel, keeping it in one piece. Then cut it in half so you are left with one piece of clear plastic that is the same size as the canvas.

Place the plastic over the heart and scribble onto the plastic with markers. Create a vertical ombré of red & pink or splotches of these colors here and there to create different effects.

Place the plastic to the side. Then using a foam brush (or paintbrush) apply a generous amount of water to the top of the heart canvas.

While the canvas is still wet, place the plastic marker side down onto the top of the canvas. Use your fingers to spread the color around. The more you rub the plastic onto the canvas, the more the colors will blend together. Once you are happy with the blend, blot excess water off the canvas with a paper towel and let the canvas dry.
Note: Repeat this watercolor process on the remaining 3 heart canvases and the smaller 8" x 8" blank canvas.

Lay the four finished heart watercolor panels face down on a flat surface in a grid, with spaces between each.
Next, take the Red Single Faced Satin Ribbon and lay it across the back of the panels. Staple the ribbon to the panels to connect them together in sets of two, one below the other.
While they lay next to each other, ensure the two sets of 2 panels have the same distance (with ribbon showing) between each panel.
Leave a length of ribbon at the top of the top panels.

Using the lengths of ribbon left at the top of the panels, tie a set of two panels onto the command hook placed on the wall.
Next, hang the remaining two panels from the other command hook.

Next, take a White Gold Heart Goody Bag and cut out a geometric heart shape out of it. Attach this geometric heart onto the smaller 8" x 8" watercolor canvas.

The smaller canvas is very light. Using removable mounting putty or double-sided tape attach the smaller canvas to the center of the four larger watercolor heart panels that have already been hung from command hooks.
Tip: Consider faux florals and greens as an optional add-on to the canvases.

Once, the panels are hung in place you can move your bar cart in front of the canvases. Step back and admire your fabulous DIY Watercolor Hearts Backdrop!
