After sprinkling the top of my store-bought cake with white icing I added a unicorn horn. First, remove the chin strap from one of the Plush Unicorn Headbands. I had one of the packs of twelve left over after using these as favors. To make this food safe, roll a ball of gum paste and flatten with your hands. Place the gum paste on top of the cake and then place the unicorn horn directly on top of the gum paste.

Next, add the unicorn ears. Gently remove the ears from the Woman's Twilight Sparkle Ears. Snap them off and remove the foam underlay. Roll a ball of gum paste and flatten with your hands. Place the gum paste on top of the cake and then place the unicorn ears on top of the gum paste. Tip: Angle your ears slightly so that they sit with the points upwards.

Next, add three flowers. If you made the DIY UnicornTable Runner first you should have 4 flowers left over. Gently remove the leaves from the Plumeria Flower Hair Clips. Pull them off the base flower. Roll a ball of gum paste and flatten with your hands. Place the gum paste on top of the cake and then place the flowers on the top of the gum paste. Tip: You may need to add extra gum paste to prevent the petals from touching the top of the cake. The gum paste is white and cannot be seen once the flowers are in place.

To create the unicorn lashes draw 2 semi-circles (the shape of closed eyes) onto a piece of a black foam sheet. Add 4-5 lashes evenly spaced across the semi-circle shape using a sharpie. Once you have drawn both lashes, cut around the outside to create thick lash shapes. Add a small amount of gum paste in order to safely place these on the front of the cake.

Finally, make any adjustments you need to by adding a little gum paste, sprinkles, more flowers or use a lollipop stick to provide more support.
