Take one sheet and place it horizontal on your table. Using a pen, mark dots 2 inches and 3 inches in. Leave about 1 inch at the bottom and one inch at the top.

On each dot set…fold over the felt. Using sharp fabric scissors, cut on each marking just a bit. You are cutting on a fold, so it will be a little larger when you open it up. (I like a sharp point on the edge for felt, but I do not let my kids use these…they are sharp!) Repeat this on all marks.

Lay your felt flat horizontally. You can now add crayons through the openings you just created. I let my kids choose their favorite 7 colors.

Take your other felt piece and glue a ribbon across. I measured my ribbon at about 30 inches. You can always cut off the extra ribbon.

Flip the piece with ribbon over. Now hot glue your crayon piece on to it. Line up the edges. I glue one end at a time. Felt is so fun to work with because it stretches…you really can’t mess it up!

Add on a pocket on the right side. You will need a piece of felt 5 1/2 in. wide by 6 in. high. Glue on the sides and bottom and place on the right side. Make sure to not glue the top, so you form a pocket for your notebooks. Add some trim or ribbon at the top and bottom of the pocket with your glue gun. Now just add your mini notebooks and mini passport. I can’t wait to surprise my kids with these for our road trip this summer!
