Begin by laying a sheet of the Shiplap Backdrop pattern-side-down on the floor and flattening it out as much as possible. Lay one panel of the Color Your Own Welcome Playhouse on top of the backdrop, making sure it is centered. Using masking tape to secure the edges, wrap the backdrop material over the playhouse panel like a present. Use an X-Acto Knife to trim edges, as necessary. Repeat with the second playhouse panel.

Use the X-Acto knife to cut the backdrop material away from the windows and door holes, leaving about an inch and a half of material from the edges of the cardboard. Slice the remaining material into strips, fold over the cardboard and tape into place with duct tape.

Access the DIY Tool Shed Printables in our Construction Party Printable Pack and print the door and tool shed labels as instructed. Cut out the door panel and secure over the door using double-sided tape. Use your X-Acto knife to trim the door label and create the arch to match the shed door.

Cut out the Tool Shed Label and adhere above the shed door using double-sided tape.

Now it's time to prep your tool shed for the little handymen to come work! Cut pieces of colored cardstock and insert them into Paint Bucket Favor Containers to resemble paint. Add Printable Paint Labels to each bucket.

Set the paint buckets out beside the tool shed along with Sponge Paint Brushes, DIY Unfinished Wood Tool Boxes, and Plush Tools. The kids can use these goodies to paint and repair the tool shed, as well as use the tools and hardware inside their DIY Tool Belts. Their time spent as this tool shed will definitely feel more like work than play!
