To get started on creating your fabulous DIY Telescope Place Cards, first, protect the lens of the DIY Telescopes by using any washi tape. Washi tape can be easily removed after you have finished painting without damaging the cardboard or lens.

Next, we will paint the telescope to give it a starry night sky feel. First, we paint a blue base layer. Paint the rim with acrylic paint using a paintbrush and then use spray paint to paint the remaining body of the telescope. I used a navy blue with a gloss finish. Let this dry.

Once the blue paint is dry, take the silver glitter paint and add a fine layer on top of the blue. Hold the can further away to achieve a finer mist. This will look more like stars in the sky.

Once the paint is dry, wrap Silver Glitter Washi Tape around the bottom of the top and bottom of the middle sections of the telescope. *Note: The top section has the larger lens in it. The middle section is the largest piece of the telescope.

Spray the Adhesive Wooden Gold Star with the silver glitter spray paint. When the star is dry attach it to the top band of washi tape. The star has an adhesive on the back so glue is not required.

Next cut out the name tag and use a hole punch to punch a hole in the tag. Thread the tag onto Blue Baker's Twine with a Moon & Star Charm. You are then ready to tie this onto the telescope.

Lastly, display your DIY Stargazer Telescope Place Card on top of each place setting at your Romantic Midnight Blue and Silver Wedding and dazzle your guests with this whimsical favor that they'll love to take home after the celebration has ended!
