Begin by painting the DIY Tea Cup Planter set in a color that matches your event. We opted for a soft minty blue to coordinate with the dining and dessert plates. Let the paint fully dry before moving on to Step 2.

Next, assemble the Laser-cut Cupcake wrapper. Once assembled, you can nest your cupcake inside of the white wrapper and gently place it inside your painted DIY Tea Cup Planter.

Using your scissors, cut a Pink Striped Paper Straw in half. Then, cut three pieces of your optimal color of the Pastel Solid Colors Washi Tape and secure it around the straw creating a “flag”.

Add your guest’s name using the Gold Sharpie Metallic Fine Point Permanent Marker and place your flag directly into the center of your cupcake. Lastly, sprinkle on a few of the Pink Wedding Candy Sunflower Seeds for an extra sweet touch!

Set each place card on each guest’s place setting for all of your guests to admire and enjoy!
These DIY Cupcake Place Card Holders are a fun way to not only display guests' name for seating, but also let guests take home the DIY Ceramic Tea Cup planters for more enjoyment long after the bridal celebration has come to an end!
To get more vintage tea party ideas take a look at our Vintage Tea Party Bridal lace wrapped tea sandwich recipe, organza tea bag favor, our parasol chandelier, pearl wrapped utensils, and our tea infused champagne cocktail.
