Start with the Sugar Skull Tissue Paper Sign Craft Kit. Separate the black foam skull which comes in two parts. Remove the adhesive from the outside border and carefully attach the border to the acetate sheet. It is ok if the border doesn't line up perfectly to the sheet. You can trim the acetate as needed. The foam is very sticky so don't try to remove it and reposition it!

Turn over the acetate so that the black border is facing down. Cover the acetate with a thin layer of Mod Podge® using a foam brush. Press the tissue paper squares into the Mod Podge, overlapping slightly so that the acetate is completely covered. Cover with another thin layer of Mod Podge to seal. Let dry completely.

Turn the skull over so that the tissue paper side is on the back. Trace a one-inch circle for each of the eyes on the front of the skull. Use a craft knife or sharp pair of scissors to carefully cut out the eyes (an adult should do this step). Be sure to use a cutting mat to protect your surface under the craft knife.

Add the additional adhesive black foam details that come with the Sugar Skull Craft Kit to the front of the mask.

Remove the flowers from the base of the Fiesta Flower Hair Clips and glue three of them onto the top of the mask with hot glue.

Attach a large craft stick to the base of the back of the skull mask with hot glue.

Have fun with your new sugar skull masks - perfect for Day of the Dead or Halloween!
