Gather some broken sticks and twigs. I found these in my backyard near some larger trees. It’s best if they are dry and hard.
Lay out the sticks on cardboard, or in a cardboard box. Lay them close together, but not touching. Spray with black spray paint until the top side is coated. Allow the sticks to dry for 20 min. After they are dry, turn each stick over and repeat the painting process. Allow the sticks to fully dry.
Take a few sticks and wrap them in some stretchy spider webs. I found that the spider webs go a long way! You just need a small handful for each jar. Try wrapping the sticks a few times in certain places. It looks better with thinner webbed areas and some thinker ones too.
Place your webbing wrapped sticks in the glass jars. I like positioning the sticks so that some were vertical and horizontal, and that there was a balance in the jar.
Add in your plastic spiders. I loved using a couple of sizes. Larger, thicker black spiders and smaller thin ones.
Such a fun and easy DIY decor idea for Halloween! It only takes a few steps and a few supplies. I love these glass apothecary jars, and can’t wait to change out the decor using these jars for different holidays!
