Begin by adding a coat of yellow paint to a medium embroidery hoop. Once dry, add a light layer of green acrylic paint. Having this duo of colors really brings in the tropical, rain forest palette.

Next, place a bamboo paper straw across the center of the top third of embroidery hoop. One straw will not be long enough to make it the whole way across the hoop so trim a half inch portion of another bamboo straw and hot glue it to the full straw. Attach to the hoop with hot glue as well. Allow to set and dry.

Now, grab one of those cute sloth Christmas ornament craft kits and carefully trim off the Santa hat and banner portion of the ornament away so you are left with just the sloth. Add on its adorable little face sticker, peel the sticker backing off and adhere him and one of his friends to the bamboo paper straw so it looks like they are hanging.

Next, attach some bamboo garland clippings to the outside of the embroidery hoop using glue dots.

Add in a few bright hibiscus hair clips for a pop of color. Simply pinch the clip to open and clasp it to the hoop.

Lastly, fill a plastic short jar with pink shimmer gumballs and then hot glue the decorated hoop to the top sides of the jar so it stands on its own. You now have a fun and fabulous piece of DIY sloth decor for your table!
