Use a Sponge Paintbrush to paint a DIY Unfinished Wood Star with White Acrylic Paint. Let dry completely.

When the paint is completely dry, use a piece of sand paper to lightly sand the star to give it a distressed look. Be sure to sand in the direction of the wood grain. Once you've achieved your desired look, use a paper towel or cloth to dust off the star.

Next, thread fishing line through the holes on the back of a Galvanized Welcome Accent. Arrange the text where you would like it to lay on the front of the star, then cut and knot the fishing line to that length. Hang the welcome accent on top of the star.

Make a bow using Red and White Striped Satin Ribbon. Apply hot glue to the back of the bow and hot glue it to the top of the star. Hang the star on your front door to welcome them to your home!
