Unroll and cut individual lengths of Gold Washi Tape and Pastel Washi Tape in your colors of choice. Lay them in a layered linear pattern across the fronts of DIY White Canvas Spiral Notebooks. Press the tape firmly in place to make sure that it’s good a stuck. For permanent hold, consider running a small line of Aleene’s® Original Tacky Glue under each length of tape. Finish by wrapping the edges of the cut tape over and around the front covers of the notebooks to hide them from view.

Peel off Self-Adhesive Rhinestone Jewels one by one, and press them firmly in place on the notebook covers on top of your washi tape design. For this particular project, rhinestones were added to accentuate the points in the design, but you could try lining entire pieces of washi tape for extra bling and sparkle! For permanent hold, add a dot of Aleene’s® Original Tacky Glue under each rhinestone.

Flip to the last page of the notebook so that the underside of the back cover is visible. Use scissors to cut a piece of All Occasion Grosgrain Ribbon about six inches in length. Squeeze a line of tacky glue along the bottom 2-3 inches of the ribbon, and press it in place on the underside of the back cover so that the longer unglued section of ribbon is protruding beyond the top edge of the notebook. Allow to dry for 1 hour before handling or closing the notebook.

Finally, cut a decorative notch or angle at the end of the ribbon bookmark, and then slip the decorated notebooks into your desk drawer or tote bag for easy note taking!
