


To make the sides of the house and the roof, line up 12 craft sticks side by side. Using hot glue, glue two craft sticks to the 12 you have lined up to hold them together. Make four of these. Make sure to have an adult help with the hot glue.





To make the front of the house, use the side of the house for your guide. Decide how wide you would like the door opening to be and cut the craft sticks accordingly.
Trim 10 craft sticks for the left side of the house. Line them up and glue two craft sticks to the 10 to hold them together. Now estimate how wide the right side of the house should be by holding a craft stick up to the house where you want the other half of the door to be. Make a line on the craft stick and cut 10 more craft sticks according to this size. Line up the remaining 10 craft sticks and use two craft stick pieces and hot glue to hold them together.



To make the back of the house, line up 10 craft sticks. Leave the bottom four craft sticks and top two craft sticks whole. The four craft sticks in between can be trimmed to create a window. Hot glue pieces of craft sticks to the ten craft sticks to hold them together.



Glue the house together and all four sides of the house. The front will overlap the sides a bit depending on how wide your doorway will be.

Create the roof. Take two of the sides you created in step 1 and glue them together at an angle to make the roof. Glue the roof to the top of your house. Add any additional hot glue where needed.

Add any extra details to make your haunted house unique! We added boards to the doorway and back window. We also added extra boards across the top of the house on the front.



Once the frame is complete for your haunted house you can begin painting. We used purple for the main house, green for the boarded window and door and a black roof.



Using the trick or treat foam stickers the kids decorated their popsicle stick craft haunted houses. We added some faux spider webs, and used a chalk marker to write “keep out” on the front of the house.
