Download the Free Pop Up Heart Mother's Day Card template here and print it out on colored cardstock paper that has been trimmed to 8.5-inches by 11-inches.
Make sure to choose two different colors of cardstock paper for your card. One color for the folded card that reads either "Mom" or "Grandma" on the front. Then a different color for the heart page of the template. Print out two of the heart page templates for each card.

Fold the card template page in half along the dotted line to create your card.

Cut out each of the hearts from the template. You should end up with 4 large hearts and a smaller heart. Set aside the smaller heart for a later step.
Fold each of the large hearts in half after cutting them out.

Using an extra strength glue stick, add glue to one-half of one of the hearts. Line up and place another heart half on the glue to attach them together. Repeat this step two more times to glue each of the four hearts together. After each of the hearts are glued together, you will have a 3D heart shape.

Add glue on the back of the 3D heart shape and glue it on the inside middle crease of your Mother's Day card.

Use the smaller heart from the card template as a pattern and trace it several times on patterned scrapbook paper with a pencil. We used four hearts but you can use as many as you would like. Cut out each of the hearts.

Use a glue stick to glue your scrapbook paper hearts on the front and inside of your Mother's Day card. Make sure to leave room on the inside of the card to write a personal message.

Write a special message on the inside of your card with markers. Some ideas for a message are "Lots of love to you on Mother's Day!" or "My heart is bursting with love for you, Mom!"

Your Pop-Up Heart Mother's Day card is complete. Close your card and place it in a large envelope for Mom or Grandma. When they open it up on Mother's Day, they'll adore how a huge heart pops out of the center of the card.
