First blow up all of your balloons. I only used 5 of each color, you could do more and make a bigger one if you would like, but 15 balloons took up the space nicely. I also opened 3 of the fans, one in each color. Then I opened 2 additional white fans and took the Snoopy off so that it didn’t detract from the design I wanted.

I measured my wall and cut the wire to just a little longer than I wanted it…like 6 inches. Like I said before, I separated the colors, and I started with the white balloons and fan since that was going to be in the middle. I put the first two balloons on the wire and found the middle, then added the fan, then I added the next 3 balloons.

To put the balloons on the wire, I just poked the wire through the end of the ballon. I like using wire for these kinds of banner because I can manipulate it better and I don’t have to try and find some kind of tape that will hold the balloons on.

I added the red to the left using the same technique.

And then finally the blue. As you can see, I just strung the fan onto the wire using the string it came with.

I added the last two white fans on the end and taped the back of them so they wouldn’t hang…but would also cover up the end of the wire.

I hung the banner using tacs that I just wrapped the wire around and hid it behind the white fans. Then I just moved the balloons around and the fans until they looked full and the fans were front and center. Easy and fun!

Also don’t forget to check out my Patriotic Peanuts Party, super cute pencil topper project and my red, white and blue Rice Krispie Treat cake.
