Cut nine 5"x7" triangles out of the bandana colors of your choice. I used red, white and blue so I cut 27 triangles in all. You can get nine triangles out of one bandana so depending on how long you'd like your garland, cut as many as you need. I made two 5' banners using the bandana triangles.

Open up a yard and a half of bias tape and place the fabric triangles inside. Starting 5" from the end of your bias tape, start pinning the top edge of each pennant inside the crease of the bias tape and pin in place.

Sew across the edge of the bias tape to close it and secure each pennant flag in place.

Paint 50 wood beads in red, white and blue acrylic paint using a paint brush. These versatile beads come in an assortment of sizes so its fun to mix and match the colors and sizes on your garland.

Next, string the beads onto red baker's twine, in any order you'd like. I started with blue, white, then red and followed that pattern until the string was fully beaded. Be sure to leave a 5" length of string on each end so you're able to hang up the garland.

Now your garlands are ready to hang! Use them to decorate the food or dessert table, hang them across your door or drape them from any place that needs a little 4th of July cheer!
