First you need to create a cutting guide for your tissue paper. Cut a piece of cardstock into a 6″ x 6″ square. Using your pre-made guide cut four pieces of tissue paper into a square.

Stack the four pieces of tissue paper and fold them accordion style.

Once your paper is folded take a piece of bakers twine and tie a knot around the middle. Do not pull the knot too tight, you want the tissue paper to remain flat.

Using scissors cut both ends of the tissue paper into a petal shape.

Next slowly fan out each layer of tissue paper to open up your flower. Repeat steps 1-4 to create several flowers for your crown.

Once you have enough tissue paper flowers created it is time to make your crown. Using floral wire measure the size of your head and cut a piece of wire twice this size. Next, fold the wire in half and twist the two pieces around each other to reinforce the wire. Thread the two loose ends together to create a circular shape.

Finish off your flower crown with a long ribbon at the back. Show off your crafting skills and wear your new paper flower crown around your party!
