Begin by painting each DIY Mini Ceramic Flower Pot with white paint, using a sponge brush. Let dry completely.

It's time to have some fun by adding some designs to the DIY Mini Ceramic Flower Pot. Use a bright color paint and a thin detail brush to paint lines, stripes or anything you want, on your DIY Painted Face Plant Pots.

Add a smiling face to your DIY Mini Ceramic Flower Pot. This might actually be my favorite part. It's so much fun to add in a smile to make these flower pots happy. For the eyes, you can dip the end of your paint brush into some black paint and dab it on. I actually remembered half-way through how easy it is to use Elmer's® Painters to make the faces. I recommend using those.

Now to add some faux plants to your flower pots. This is for all my black thumb friends. Place the stem of a faux succulent pick into a mini styrofoam ball. Then drop in to the DIY Painted Face Plant Pots.

I also loved the look of the faux mountain grass in these adorable Painted Face Plant Pots. To make these, I just cut off each stem and stuck them individually into the mini styrofoam balls.

Repeat with different colors of paint and different smiley face variations on the flower pots. I had so much fun making these. Will you display these or gift them? Make sure you check out my Smiling DIY Succulent Planters too.
