Start this project off by cleaning all your vases with rubbing alcohol and a small cloth.

To give your vases a lovely ombre spray painted look, start by turning the vases upside on a piece of plastic or painter's cloth. Next, in a well ventilated area spray your color about 8-10" away from the "bottom" of your vase (since you have your vase upside down, it will be on top). As you spray all around the vase, the light over spray of the paint will give a gorgeous ombre effect! I painted each vase in a different color.

While the vases are drying, you can add some height to your display with colorful twigs! Tape off every few inches of your twigs and then spray the rest with spray paint.

Set your vases out with a few twigs and floral stems for a lovely display! Check out how we incorporated this DIY vase project into a colorful mantel for spring.
