To save on paper and ink, try printing only the pages of the letters you need. The project demonstrates what it would look like to use the phrase “Let Go,” but you can customize the tutorial to any name or saying you’d like. Use scissors to slowly and carefully cut the letters out of the paper, sticking as close to the letters’ edges as you can. You may want to use a razor blade for the tighter details.

Unroll the Bienfang No. 18 White Poster Paper Roll on a clean, flat surface. Use a pencil and meter stick to draw out the size sheet you need for whatever frame you choose to use. Cut the paper off the roll using scissors.

Lay the cut letter stencils on top of the sheet of paper you trimmed off in Step 2. Arrange until happy with the placement.
TIP: Try stepping back from the paper or even taking a picture of the letters on your phone to see how the phrase looks from far away. Make any adjustments to the phrase’s placement from there.

Hold each letter firmly down with your fingertips, and trace along the edges onto the paper with a pencil. Continue tracing the entire phrase or word onto the paper.

Choose a color from your package of Prismacolor Marker Set. For this project, the black marker was used. Color in the traced lines of the word or phrase.
TIP: Use the fine tip edge of the marker to trace over the pencil lines, and then use the chunky chiseled marker edge to fill in the rest of the letters from there.Although Prismacolor markers are a bit of an investment, these high quality markers are some of the best for coloring projects.

Allow the colored letters to dry for about 10 minutes, and then slip the finished typographic print into your frame. Hang on the wall using heavy-duty picture hanging wire and hooks, and then you’re done.
