Assemble the bright party hanging lanterns. It’s quick & easy!

Cut a large piece of tulle that will wrap completely around the paper lantern. Leave about 3-4″ of excess on each end to “wrap” your candy.

Secure the tulle to the paper lantern with a small piece of clear packing tape on the backside of the paper lantern. Tie each end with a piece of colorful ribbon or twine. That’s it! Now you have paper lanterns that look like big pieces of wrapped candy!

Now that you have giant paper lantern candies, you’ll need a few giant paper plate lollipops to go with them. Take one of the large colorful dinner plates and place it facedown on a large square piece of clear cellophane wrapping paper.

Start wrapping the cellophane wrapping paper around the plate, securing it with the clear packing tape as needed. Leave 2-3 inches of excess clear cellophane paper at the bottom of the plate.

Turn the plate over and secure one of the balloon sticks or wooden dowels to the back of the plate with the clear packing tape.

Fill a large can with floral foam and stick the DIY Paper Plate Lollipops into them for instant and easy decorations.\
I love being able to repurpose and reuse items for decorations at our parties. You can use the leftover paper plates to serve food to your guest at the party and you will be able to reuse the paper lanterns again at another party once you remove the white tulle.
