Trace a pattern using the Valentine box to create two sides and a strip to cover the front to the back. Cover the Valentine Box with blue colored cardstock using Glue Dots® to adhere the paper to the box securely.
Using the free hedgehog template, trace the parts of the hedgehog on to colorful foam sheets. Cut out each part for the hedgehog. For our hedgehog box, we used white, pink, blue and black foam sheets for this.
Place the Hedgehog foam parts on the covered Valentine box using Glue Dots®. Layer the spike form, body, and nose. Add the triangle spikes around the hedgehog body in blue foam pieces.
Add two foam black ears and a foam heart nose. Add in little blue paws using the Glue Dots®. Add two googly eyes.
Take the fabulous Hedgehog Valentine Card Box to the class Valentine exchange! A fun idea is to hand out hedgehog stress toys or fuzzy stuffed hedgehogs at the Valentine exchange.
