Make sure you have your supplies ready and be sure to use an old dirty towel or drop cloth for this project!

Put your hand on the inside of the Skull Drink Dispenser and untwist the nozzle. Remove the nozzle and all parts completely. Be sure to note what order the inner parts were in so you have no leaks when you put it back together.

Remove the lid on the top of the skull. Tape up the nozzle hole, and the top of the head hole on the inside. You don’t want any stain getting inside your dispenser. Paint the skull with the dark walnut stain. Be sure not to get any on the inside of the holes (you want your container to remain stain free for the drinks). Do this step fairly quickly before the stain starts to dry.

Use the old rag to wipe off the stain. You can wipe off as much or as little as you want. I repeated this step a few times to get the look I wanted. Allow the skull to dry for 2 full days before using.
Replace the nozzle and fill with desired drink.
*I have washed mine twice so far with soap and water. The stain has not budged.
This may sound a bit difficult, but it was seriously SO EASY and SO QUICK.
And now on to the hanging skulls.

Lay out your pieces. You must use the Oriental Trading skulls. They are foam and will allow you to insert the headpin.

Insert a jewelry headpin in the middle of the foam skull.

Bend your headpin over and insert the other side into the skull.

You can now thread your twine through and hang the skulls as desired.
I hope you enjoyed my ideas for DIY Halloween Decor Skulls!
