Using acrylic paint, start by painting your monster eyeballs onto the front side of your glass jar. Let dry. We like putting two coats of white paint on jars for the eyes.

Then you can paint a second circle over the white eyes to create more depth to your monster eyes. Feel free to add a color to the eyes as well!

We used black paint to apply the monster mouth. Let dry, apply another coat and let dry. We painted ours out in the sun, so dry time was minimal. Then used white paint to add monster teeth.

Then fill your jars with solid colored candy and you've got some cute and scary monster jars! We used orange chocolate candy, purple and green gumballs to fill our jars.
Note: You will need to purchase 3 glass jars to complete 3 DIY Halloween Monsters. We used 2 sizes of glass jars, a 7" x 5" diameter jar and a 8" x 7" diameter jar.
