Begin this fun DIY Gold Pumpkin Wood Plank Sign by carving an Orange Foam Pumpkin in half. I used a small saw. A knife or heat blade could work as well. Begin cutting the pumpkin in half behind the stem. You will need the stem intact for this project. Using gold spray paint, paint the pumpkin half with the stem. A bright gold is perfect for this project!

Using white paint and a foam paint brush, paint every other plank white on the DIY Wood Plank Sign. Make sure to paint the sides, tops and bottoms as well. It will not matter if you get a little of the paint outside of the lines. You will have to add a couple coats of white paint. While your white paint is drying, begin the next step of making an adorable pom-pom garland.

Thread a needle with white thread and tie a knot at the end. String Black & white pom poms with sparkly gold pom poms on a string of white thread with a needle. Tie off the end with a knot. This creates an adorable pom pom garland for the wood sign.

Using painters tape, tape off the black sections, on the DIY Wood Plank Sign the planks between the white.

Using black paint and a foam paint brush, paint every other plank black on the DIY Wood Plank Sign. Make sure to paint the sides, tops and bottoms as well. You will have to paint a couple of coats of black.

After allowing the wood plank sign to dry for a few minutes, remove the painters tape. Allow the sign to dry completely before moving onto the next step. The black and white stripes look so cool!

Using hot glue or a strong adhesive, glue the half gold pumpkin to the sign about half-way down. Leave a little space at the top.

Finish up the pumpkin sign by adding the black, white and gold garland on top. Using adhesive, attach the ends of the garland to the back of the sign.

This DIY Pumpkin Sign looks so fun as a Halloween front porch decoration.
