Download the free house sigil templates here. I used my Cricut™ to cut these onto adhesive vinyl for easy application. Print the downloadable template onto transfer paper and cut around the design, leaving about half an inch around the outside. If you do not have a Cricut™, print the symbol then cut it out to make a template you can then trace onto vinyl.
Place the design, face down in the center of your canvas banner. Follow the directions on the transfer paper and iron on the design. Gently peel off the transfer paper to reveal the ironed-on design.

To create a reverse banner where the background is black and the sigil symbol canvas colored, print out the symbol template onto wax paper.
Cut out the sigil symbol and temporarily adhere or hold onto the banner.

Next, paint the canvas black using a sponge paintbrush. You can paint over the template as the paint will not soak through the wax paper. Once dry, gently remove the template from the banner leaving the unpainted sigil image.
Tip: Place a protective layer under the canvas since the paint will soak through the canvas onto the surface below.

Next, cut 2 strands of pearls to fit the width of the banner. Add some length so the pearls can sag a bit. Glue them to the top corners of the canvas banner.

At each corner where the pearls are attached, glue a gemstone.

Finally, hang the banners onto small hooks or tacks on the wall. Adhere an additional gemstone to cover the hanging hook. Time to raise a toast to your house of choice!
