Paint 2 – 3 coats, waiting 5 minutes between coats if you’re using spray paint like I opted to. If you are using spray paint, please use in a well ventilated area and take proper safety precautions.
After about 20 – 30 minutes, the frames should be ready to hang. These particular frames didn’t take long to dry to the touch. That said, to be completely safe leave the frames to dry for several hours or overnight.
Thankfully the frames are drilled for a little peg on the back of them that could be inserted to hold the frame upright on a side table. Instead of inserting the pegs, we will use this hole to hang the frame on the nail.
Start from the center row and work your way out spacing nails 7″ apart vertically and 4″ apart horizontally. This will create a fairly tight heart shape (with 2 inches between frames) when complete.
Tip: Your measurements should be modified based on the wall space and size of frames you’re working with. Additionally, the frames are slightly irregular, so if you are needing a bit of help getting the frames better aligned, place a little bit of wall tacky in the corner.
That’s it! Impact wall art on a dime!
