First, take a DIY Medium Foam Ball and slice up into quarters. i.e. Slice the ball in half and then slice the half into 2 even pieces.

First, glue on a single layer of Apple Green Paper Streamer onto the flat sides of the foam quarter. This ensures the ball is green all over even under flaps of fringe.
Tip: Use styrofoam glue or thick white glue.

Next, fold the cut the Apple Green Paper Streamer over and over in lengths of approx 6-8 inches. Once folded, cut half-way into the paper streamer to create a fringe.
Once finished, cut the ends off to create single strips of fringe.

Next, glue the fringe to the flat sides of the foam in single overlapping layers.
Start with the bottom layer and glue layers on top, one by one until fully covered.
Once the fringe is complete turn the ball upside down and trim the excess fringe off. Follow the line of the curve so that the fringe does not overhang.

Next, layer more fringe onto the curved part of the wedge.
Again, glue the fringe in single overlapping layers. Start with the bottom layer and glue layers on top, one by one until fully covered.
Finally, trim the fringe to follow the line of the wedge.

Next, download download the free fruit wedge template here. Print onto white card stock and cut out the wedge design. Alternatively, if you have a Cricut cut out the wedges in bulk onto the card stock. Then glue the wedge design onto the flat sides of the lime quarter wedge.

Once the lime wedge is complete, create the name flag. Cut a Bamboo Skewer to 3-4" inch. Next, take a Watermelon Cutout and cut a strip 1" wide to create a flag. Write the guests name of one portion of this strip Then, fold and wrap 1/4 of this strip (the portion without the guests name and inner edge) around the Bamboo Skewer. Glue in place. Then, cut a smaller strip from the Watermelon Cutout. Glue in place to cover the white.

Once the flag pick/place card has been created insert into the lime wedge.
Place the faux pinata lime wedge place card next to the place setting. Place on the flat side. Then wait for the ohhhhs and ahhhhhs!
