Start this Floral Ampersand project out by using floral wire cutters and removing all the flowers and leaves from the faux stems.

Once you have all the flowers removed, you can start placing the larger floral pieces. I started out using this gorgeous Pink Peony flower, but decided to change it to a Magnolia flower due the size. I still used the smaller peonies elsewhere on the wooden display.

Slowly, continue to add greenery and floral pieces to your display using a hot glue gun. Don't be afraid to bend and twist leaves to follow your ampersand design.

Another tip that I discovered later, was to paint the wooden ampersand with a light green watercolor wash BEFORE adding your floral and greenery pieces. I did this to mine later and it was much more difficult.
Continue to layer in more flowers and greenery until the negative space from the ampersand is completely filled.

Be sure to set up your floral display on the wall, on a table or wrap it up and give it as a gift!
