Paint 2-3 coats of yellow acrylic paint on the ceramic flower pots. Allow pots to dry completely.
Decide on which emoji faces you would like to create. Pick out the paint markers you will need. Make sure to shake up each marker before use. You will need to press down on the tip of the markers to allow it to fill with paint. Repeat as needed.

Ella and Annie wanted to make the “love” emoji with the heart eyes. We used a red and black paint pen. Trace the outline of the heart eyes and mouth. Then gently press the marker to release paint to fill in the eyes and mouth.
The second flower pot was the “kiss” emoji. Perfect for when mom blows kisses! You will also need the red and black paint pen for this flower pot. Repeat these steps with each emoji face you decide to make. Allow the flower pots to dry.

Fill each pot with garden soil. Make sure that the soil is slightly damp. Plant herb seeds in each ceramic flower pot and watch them grow each day! If you are last minute (like us), get some herbs from your local nursery.
