For each orb you will need two embroidery hoops (four rings total when separated). Any of the embroidery hoop sizes - large (12"), medium (9:), or small (5") - will work. I'm using the medium rings in this example. Paint each of the four rings with acrylic craft paint and a foam brush. I especially like metallic paint colors such as gold or bronze for the orbs. Let dry and add a second coat, if necessary.
Overlap three of the rings at the same point so that they form an orb. You can use a small dab of hot glue to secure the rings in place at the point where they meet.
Finish your orb by adding the fourth ring perpendicular to the point where the other three rings meet. Secure in place with a small dab of hot glue.
Create orbs in multiple sizes and colors to create a pretty vignette!
