First, take out the smaller eggs from the Large Egg Container with Easter Eggs. Remove the handle from the egg.

Download the dragon scale template HERE then print. I used my Cricut™ to cut the scales but you could also cut them out by hand. Either print the scales out onto the non-foil side of Foil Paper Sheets before cutting or cut out a scale and trace it onto the back of Foil Paper Sheets before cutting.
Note: There are 3 sizes of scale as the scales decrease in size as they move up the egg.

Once cut, make a horizontal fold the bottom of the scale up by approx 1/4 of its size. Gently fold the scale inwards towards the middle to create a small score. You will be left with a scale that has some dimension to it.

Begin at the bottom of the egg. Hot glue the scales around the bottom of the egg in a horizontal row. For the next row, push the scale under the row below. Place each subsequent scale in the "V" formed between the last scales and the ones below it.

Repeat and continue up the egg. Move up the egg, placing each row of scales under the row before. Decrease the size of the scales as you move up the egg. The spacing between scales will also decrease as you move upwards and scales will overlap. Don't worry if scales are crooked or a little uneven, it will still look great when it is finished!

Now we'll create the 2 smaller eggs of the centerpiece. Stick metal thumbtacks into a DIY Foam Egg to make the scales. Start at the top of the egg and place each tack so it's slightly overlapping the first, creating a circle around the egg. Once you get the first "ring" complete, place each subsequent tack in the "V" formed between the last tack and the ones below it. Cover the entire egg.
Tip: Paint thumbtacks with metallic nail polish to achieve alternative dragon egg colors.

Next, prepare the dragon egg beds. Place small cuts of fur into 3 Mercury Bowl with Rose Gold Pedestals. Place each egg gently into the pedestals.

Now it's time for guests to wait for your dragons to hatch! For more ideas and inspiration be sure to check out my Game of Thrones Watch Party. Don't miss out on the tutorial to make your own Game of Thrones House Banners and a delicious recipe for Milk of the Poppy Cocktails!
