Remove the outer hoop from both the Large and Small Embroidery Hoops. We will only use the inner hoops for this project. Hot glue the small embroidery hoop to the inside of the large embroidery hoop.
Adhere the end of a 18-24" length of yarn where the two embroidery hoops meet. Wrap the yarn around the hoops and glue the end in place. You can also add a hanger if needed.
Cut 20 to 26 - 6' lengths of yarn. To attach the yarn to the middle hoop, fold a length of yarn in half. Place the fold underneath the small hoop. Pull both ends of the yarn up through the yarn loop (fold) and pull to tighten the yarn around the small hoop. Repeat 40-50 times.
Count the lengths of yarn and separate the strands so that half of the strands are on each side. Place the first half of the yarn underneath the large hoop. Move the remaining yarn out of the way.
Loop a single length of yarn around the top, back under the hoop, and then pull taught. Using the same length of yarn, flip the yarn over the top of the hoop and pull the end of the yarn through the loop form and pull taught. It really is easier than it sounds – just follow the images! Repeat this step until all strands in the first group of yarn is connected to the large hoop.
Now it's time to create the fun woven diamond motif. Repeat Step 5 for the remaining yarn, but weave each length of yarn under the yarn already tied onto the hoop. (The first length of yarn will be woven under the first length of yarn already tied onto the hoop. The second length of yarn will be woven under the second tied yarn, and so on until all the yarn is tied onto the hoop.
Thread beads from the Bulk Unfinished Wood Bead Assortment onto one of the middle lengths of yarn, tying knots to hold them in place.
Cut the ends of the yarn into a V shape. Tie the end of the beaded length of yarn up onto the top of the hoop.
This macrame wall hanging looks bewitching hanging among your Mystical Boho Halloween décor, but you can use it as décor beyond the Halloween season, too! Be sure to check out Mystical Boho Halloween Home Décor Ideas for more projects.
